Rent-a-Bench

Rent-a-Bench is for those who are able to work independently but would like to use specialist tools and equipment. It’s a great way to be part of the Whakatū jewellery community, if you’re setting up your own workshop, or if you’re travelling through the city and would like to work on a project. Email us at info@thebench.nz to book your spot 

 Times: Tuesday - Saturday, 9:30 am - 4:30 pm

Benches: 3 when classes are being held, a maximum of 8 when there are no scheduled classes Cost: $60 per day (7 hours), $30 per half day (3.5 hours)

Monthly pass: $200 for 4 sessions, to be used within 1 month of issue.

What to Bring: Materials for your project, consumables such as sawblades and sanding sticks. Silver solder and flux are supplied. A small selection of materials and consumables will be available to buy. Payment is required on the day.

 NB. If you are not competent to use the Smith torch and require help with this please book an Assisted Rent-a-Bench.

to discuss your needs.

Times: 9:30 am - 4:30 pm, days are negotiable.

Cost: $35.00 per half day (9:30-12:30) or $70.00 per day (9:30-12:30 + 1:00-4:30).
